The Malaysian Palm Oil Forum (MPOF) 2024, held on October 8-9 at the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, was a landmark event for the global oils and fats industry, drawing stakeholders from across 30 countries. Appsaya was honored to be a key technology partner, providing comprehensive registration, ticketing, and business-matching solutions that ensured seamless participation and maximized networking opportunities.
Through our innovative Business-Matching technology, more than 100 buyers connected with 24 Malaysian suppliers, creating a remarkable trade potential of RM 1.24 billion.
The business-matching session, held on the event’s second day, was pivotal in fostering new trade relationships. Appsaya’s platform enabled each buyer to be matched with relevant suppliers, facilitating productive meetings and opening discussions with potential for long-term collaboration. The BizMatch attracted significant international interest, particularly from the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Central Asia regions. These connections aligned perfectly with the Malaysian Palm Oil Council’s (MPOC) mission to expand market access and drive demand for Malaysian palm oil products across strategic global regions.
The MPOF 2024 highlighted Malaysia’s dedication to sustainability and quality in palm oil production, addressing topics such as environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. Participants had the opportunity to visit the SD Guthrie Palm Oil Experience Centre on Carey Island, where they explored Malaysia’s advanced practices in sustainable palm oil production. This experience allowed international buyers to witness Malaysia’s commitment to responsible sourcing and innovation firsthand, reinforcing its position as a trusted, high-quality global supplier in the palm oil industry.
Appsaya’s technology played a vital role in generating an estimated RM 1.24 billion in potential sales, a testament to the strategic value created during the BizMatch sessions. According to MPOC CEO Ms. Belvinder Sron, buyer interest centered on core products such as palm olein, palm stearin, and downstream items like shortening, cocoa butter substitutes (CBS), and palm kernel oil. The success of these engagements highlights the versatility of Malaysian palm oil in meeting diverse global demands and demonstrates Appsaya’s ability to facilitate impactful business opportunities in the oils and fats sector.
Appsaya’s involvement in MPOF 2024 underscores our commitment to delivering cutting-edge event technology that enhances networking and drives commercial success. Through our advanced registration and business-matching solutions, we helped turn MPOF into a collaborative platform that bridged international stakeholders and Malaysian suppliers. As we continue to support the oils and fats industry, Appsaya looks forward to enabling meaningful trade connections that contribute to global market growth.
